Jeff Wilmes, Cameraman and Editor
Jeff Wilmes has more than 15 years experience as a cameraman. He
can be seen shooting high definition video for corporate, broadcast,
documentary and Web-based programs. He has shot on many cameras and formats including
Beta SP, XDCAM, Panasonic P2, Sony HDV and Varicam.
In addition to his camera work,
Jeff began editing in the winter of 2006. He has shot and edited
the Variety telethon for the Salt
River Production Group since 2006, which
airs on KMOV Channel 4 in St. Louis. Other clients include Anheuser-Busch,
Life Teen, and Cimarron Productions, for whom he has shot for
ESPN and NASCAR.
His documentaries
have taken him from Kingston, Jamaica, to Nicaragua, El Salvador,
Peru, Bolivia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Jerusalem. Jeff loves to
travel and along the way he has gained a deep respect for the people he has met and
come to realize on a personal level that “there, but for the grace of God,
go I.”
Clients know firsthand how Jeff immerses himself in the stories
he helps document. He has discovered it is the best way to understand
the project and provide the visual support that provides emotion,
clarity, and depth. In the end, Jeff knows the more powerful
his images, the more inspiration he brings to the final production
and to his audiences.
Jeff is currently living and working out
of St. Louis, Missouri. He has been married to Carol for more
than 11 years and is extremely grateful for and blessed with his five children, Luke,
Matthew, Olivia, Timothy and Molly.
